Livorno, Italy, Watercolour, 15" x 11"

Following on from my fascination with washing lines, this is one from Livorno.  I think the trick with washing lines is make them look as if they are attached to the building, and make sure they go from one window to another and not end up between windows if you see what I mean.  Some dark shadows under the washing helps with the old values!

Painted on Saunders Waterford, Cold Press, 300 gms.
