I'm sure it's not called Fisherman's Wharf, but I thought it might make for a good title.  It's quite a busy quayside leading up to the port buildings at Cambrils in Spain.

Painted on Saunders Waterford, Cold Press, 300 gms.

Gran Canaria, Spain, Watercolour, 15" x 11"

Painting some breaking waves.  My technique is wet the whole area around the wave shape.  Then paint in the surrounding areas up to the wave to get the soft edge around the wave.  Then within the wave, just a little darker vales to give some form.  And add some small dots of white paint at the end for a bit of movement.
