Actually an entry for my art club's annual exhibition, which of course because pf COVID has had to be cancelled.  Anyway, a slightly imaginary scene and a small fishing craft leaving harbour or perhaps returning... I don't know.  Had a little bit of fun playing around with wet in wet technique, then letting everything dry before going in with harder edges.

Another of my submissions for the Bristol Savages Exhibition 2017 in Bristol.  This one is a local scene (I must do more local scenes!) of the railway bridge over the main road that leads into Bristol from the north.  Almost abstract in the road area with traffic, movement and reflections here and there.  Also done with a limited palette of 3 colours and a neutral tint to get those darks.

Watercolour 15" x 11"

One of my submissions to the annual Bristol Savages Exhibition 2017, entitled 'Golden' which was actually a Wednesday night sketch topic.  So an Autumnal scene and an emphasis on trees with a golden tint to them.  A composition with the bridge and figure walking a dog which I have used before, but easily adapted to this scene.  Nice to get a light figure in front of a dark background.  As a further enhancement, I could have had the figure reflected in some water!
