Villefranche, France, 15" x 11"
Day 4 (Wednesday) and first plein air demo of the day looking up a street towards the centre of the village of Villefranche de Lonchat. A very pretty village in the southern area of the Dordogne region. All I can remember about this one was the bright sun behind me - so had to wear sunglasses when looking at the ultra-bright paper. Wearing sunglasses when painting takes a bit of getting used to and must alter your perception of tonal values and colours.
Painted on Saunders Waterford, Cold Press, 300 gms.
