Bodmin, Cornwall, 15" x 11"
A painting based on an old photo of mine taken on a very brief trip through Bodmin. This is Fore Street a main shopping street for the town. An exercise in connecting the various key objects in the painting, the figures, shadows, cars, one side of the street to the other. Also an exercise in values with those dark shadows and the light hitting the left side of the street. With the shadows I try to vary the tones also in that area.
