Madrid, Spain, 15" x 11".
The Plaza de las Comendadoras, Madrid, where I had done a plein air demo last year and I returned to the subject from a reference photo. Such a beautiful square, as you turn 360 degrees, there's plenty of painting subjects and at different times of the day. Here I am making a feature of some colourful buildings on the other side of the street, and have a few dark figures in the foreground being silhouetted.
