La Gomera, Spain. 15" x 11"
A scene loosely based on the sea front on the island of La Gomera, Spain. Apologies to any local residents down there as regards some building changes in the background! It all starts with the initial outline drawing. When figures are included in the picture, especially with a busy street scene, I may draw the figures in first and then the background around them. In this one I didn't. The tree stumps went in first before the people. The danger here is perhaps those two central figures are too central and should have been offset a little.
Lovely painting Tim. Quick question: most of your figures seem a bit on the portly side, do you ever paint thin people? John
