Cadeques, Spain, 15" x 11".
Not your typical view of Cadeques. No picturesque fisherman's boat on a sandy beach with white-washed buildings and blue sea in the background. So this is the main road coming into Cadeques. Another one of my 'just take any scene and try and make a painting out of it' exercises. Also another unusual thing for me is the light almost behind me - a rare thing I do as I prefer 'contre jour'. A handy tip to hint at the different levels of the pavement and road is to have long shadows going side to side following the contours...
