Biddestone, England, 15" x 11".
Another 3-colour painting - I have Winsor Red (a medium red), Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow and Neutral Tint. Okay, maybe 4 colours then! The scene is the picturesque Wiltshire village of Biddestone and a simple composition, a bend in the road, a figure coming into the shadows and some parked cars. If I have a large area to paint in one 'colour', I will normally try and make a little more interesting by some splattering or adding more pigment while it's still moist.
