Vila Vella Old Town, Tossa de Mar, Costa Brava

Landscape Watercolour of Tossa de Mar, 15" x 11"

The imposing old medieval town of Tossa de Mar, on the Costa Brava, with its cylindrical towers and battlements overlooking the main beach. Now my intention here was to try an experiment and move up to painting on half imperial (22" x 15") but first choose a subject that I would paint first on my normal quarter imperial, then same subject on half. Afterwards, try and objectively see a comparison between the two and maybe make a decision longer term to paint on a larger scale.

Well here's my second effort on the larger size...

Hi Tim, I am very interested in your work. Here, both paintings paintings f Tosa de Mar (quarter and half imperial sheet) are magnificent.
