Landscape Watercolour of Cadeques, 15" x 11".
Last sketch I will do of Cadeques for a while as I've run out of source photos. This is a view looking towards the centre of this fishing village and the church tower perched up on a little hill which dominates any view. I think the picture could have done with a few more people in! That beach looks deserted. It's a popular place, really!
Painted on Saunders Waterford Paper, 140 lbs.




Cadaqués is one of the most places painted in La Costa Brava. I like how you simplify the complicated background and the necessary shadow which is completing the composition.
