Cornwall, UK, 15" x 11".
An imaginary sketch, taking my inspiration from a typical UK harbour scene at low tide. The harbour bed has a great range of colours and fun to reproduce in watercolour by laying down your wash, then adding in different colours as you come down the page. I leave out random spots here and there which become stones or pebbles at the end with an introduction of a little shadow behind them.

Hello Tim.
I've recently discovered your work and your site, and as a newcomer to painting who's been struggling with watercolour, I have to say your loose, informal approach was a bit of a revelation. Thanks to your superb demonstration videos I've seen a positive development in my own style (not so uptight) and am much happier with my progress and results. Though I'm still a long way from where I want to be, many thanks for taking the trouble. Just great!
