Place Nationale, Riberac, France

Riberac, France, 15" x 11".

The 'main' street running through the middle of Riberac, a major town in South West France. Yet another 3 colour sketch and this time I had a bit of fun with the shadows - dropping in clear water and letting it flow down the paper and then adding in some blue. I think the thing that pulled it all together was using a small synthetic brush and with some neutral tint painting in Window details and lines to emphasise perspective. No white gouache used in this painting for cheeky highlights!
