Here's my latest video of a complete painting from start to end - real time. I have also included my reference photo for the early stage outline sketch. Would welcome any feedback and thanks for watching!

Hi Tim
What I find difficult, which seems effortless to you, is the initial sketching, in particular increasing the size of objects (boats, houses etc) for a larger painting and making them all in scale with each other. I really think that getting the initial drawing right, is one the important keys to the painting not looking amateurish! Are you one of those with natural drawing skills or has it taken years of practice?

One of the best lessons
to learn how much focal point is important to be a good painting.

I do practice drawing quite a lot. I did 'A' level art which required drawing old buildings from memory, so one way to learn. Drawing is maybe half of the effort of the painting.
