Doug Elliot

Lovely building Tim, not sure about the dark foreground.

Jim

Ok Tim... you really killed it with this one. It is pretty nice!
I am still scratching my head on how you got away with that super bright yellow. Somehow it works! Is that Hansa Deep ?

I think I am going through a 'dark period' Doug but I like it best when it's not to much dark if you see what I mean

timothywilmot@gmail.com

It is cadmium yellow but very weak. The paper is off white also

Tim

Hi Tim,

I wonder if you can let me know whether the old TH Saunders watercolor paper and block is as good as the new Saunders paper/block. I heard that the newer/present Saunders stock are tougher. I just come across a store that still sell the TH Saunders block and wonder should I stick with the present Saunders paper or is it ok to buy their old TH Saunders.

Sorry I ask you about this in your blog but I do not have get your e-mail

Tim Wilmot

They both have different qualities. I agree the new is less soft. Does the T H Saunders paper have a yellow tint to it?

Tim

Thanks for reply Tim,

I do not know if they have yellow tint to it, I come across this store over the Web.

I have not purchase them yet, I was debating to buy them or not. But I guess if it is good for you then the paper should be good. I am just starting to paint in watercolor and do not know enough about paper.

Best

Tim

Hi Tim,

The Website store I came across is New York Central Art Supply. They have the TH Saunders paper/block on sale, I think is a great deal.

Hi Tim,

Last message I gave you the info where to buy the TH Saunders paper on sales.

After doing more research about this TH Sauanders paper offered by New York Art Supply at "Fire sales price", I now find out that this stock they are selling may be very old stock from 1990. St Cuthbertsmill at England did some research through their distributor in the US and just e-mail me about this.

Tim Wilmot

Thank you very much Tim for the research. I suspected the paper I had was 20-40 years old. That's a good price on that site, possibly cheaper than UK.
