Olhao, Portugal, 15" x 11".
A central square in Olhao, an old fishing town in the Algarve, Portugal. An ideal subject for watercolour with dark background buildings contrasting with lighter figures and the light catching the fountain in the middle of the square. Domes are pretty tricky to get right - not a perfect circle from a drawing point of view and the the challenge of getting the shadows looking good with dark merging to light.
