Sitges, situated just south of Barcelona and a short rail trip away is a popular resort on the northern Mediterranean coats of Spain. Sitges has always been a place that has enraptured artists, sculptors and writers who, in the late nineteenth century, settled in the town. Sitges is also home to a joyous annual street carnival, prestigious International film festival and colourful gay pride march, so visitors can be forgiven for thinking Sitges is in a perpetual state of celebration!
