Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, 15" x 11".
A couple of tourists walking up the road from the old part of town (maybe they have staggered out of one of the many Irish bars here!). My normal pre wash, rough treatment of the pedestrian crossing (they can't be too tidy). Limited colours used on this one - mainly ultramarine blue, burnt sienna and yellow ochre. A splash of bright red on the left hand side parasol adds a bit of balance perhaps.

I've only very recently discovered your work Tim (on youtube). Got to say I find it a great inspiration. Full of life, great light and great composition. Wonderful!
My own 'thing' has up to very recently been more in the way of drawing/graphic art - pencil, charcoal, pen and ink and the like and I've only recently tried watercolour. I'm particularly drawn to the looser, more impressionistic style, but the thing is I've been finding it very hard to 'loosen up'. Watching your videos has been a huge help.
Practice is all very well (and essential, I know) but watching such a gifted artist as yourself paint in 'real time' has helped clear up a lot of the difficulties I've been having.
Your videos are great Tim and I really admire your generosity in publishing them.
Regards Terry
