Livorno, Italy, Watercolour, 15" x 11"

There's a network of canals running through the city and along most of them, especially where small boats are moored up, you have these access walkways below the main street level and of course now and again some steps to get down to them.  I though this was an interesting composition - a turn in the walkway and the city in the background as a backdrop.

Painted on Saunders Waterford, Cold Press, 300 gms.
