Albufeira, Portugal, Watercolour, 15" x 11"
A walk down the hill into Albufeira and the Old Town. A bit of a strong contra jour this one. Always a key thing in watercolour to get those contrasting values and silhouettes. This was a bot of a wet in wet with the initial wash and the sky coming down over the buildings.
Painted on Saunders Waterford, Cold Press, 300 gms.
