The Piazza Garibaldi (I think I have painted many Garibaldi named streets and squares) in Livorno, and I love painting these scenes where we have a dark foreground and a light background. For me, it creates a nice atmosphere of you are in a cool place and you are looking towards light and warmth.

Painted on Saunders Waterford, Cold Press, 300 gms.
