So you are in a room with a bunch of fellow artists, and a blank piece of paper in front of you. Then someone gives you a painting topic. You then have two hours to complete your painting without the use of any reference material. And so this is the format of the Wednesday Sketching night at my Painting society, the Bristol Savages. The topic was 'healing'. Wow, quite a challenge to come up with a painting based on that subject. Well, I went down the route of a fast flowing river and healing as regards the environment and flushing away debris down the river.
