A bit of dappled shade via some wet in wet.  A recent picture which where I tried to introduce lots of values and lots of connections - so values with the background buildings and the palm trees in front and then some connections with the cars linked in so to speak with the surrounding buildings and shadows.

Bergerac, France, 15" x 11"

The quayside at Bergerac on the River Dordogne in SW France.  There's a lovely boat trip from the quay here which takes you up or down the river.  Moored up here is an old gabare, a traditional old trading boat in the area.  Quite a simple composition and perhaps I could have included a small boat bottom right, just to balance things out overall.

Timsbury, UK, 11" x 15"

Another warm up for a demo to the local art group in this village south of Bath.  Quite a simple row of cottages with a bit of warm and cool contrasts going on - the warm colour of the road and the cool shadows from the houses.  Composition wise, it needed to be portrait orientation I think.
